College/Career Education Program
Program Overview
WHCS believes that every student should be provided the opportunity to earn college credits while meeting High School graduation requirements. WHCS students can take dual credit classes in-person and/or online through our College and Career Readiness Program. WHCS College/Career Program creates opportunities for students to earn both High School and college credits as they work toward a High School diploma, industry certificate, and/or an Associate Degree in various STEM and sustainable fields. These programs increase opportunities for underserved populations, and for all participating students to graduate with a High School diploma, and college credits that can lead to certifications.
WHCS Dual Credit Partnerships

Partnerships: These include NM Workforce Solutions, NM DVR, PED, Northern New Mexico College, Central New Mexico, UNM-Los Alamos, Institute of American Indian Arts, Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute, and Pueblo of Jemez Education Department. These partnerships support students in exploring their career interests, participate in a career readiness course, provide dual credit courses, and paid internship opportunities, and provide assistance with post-secondary college and career options.
